The research groups of the ITA
The central and forward-looking challenge, which is being addressed at ITA in the three research groups Transportation Technology, Automation Technology and Optronics, is the question of the integration of decision-capable units into technical systems through networks of sensors, actuators and controllers. Within these tasks, mechanical engineering, electronic and information technology issues often have to be solved, whereby the transition between the sub-disciplines is fluid. The ITA thus represents an interface between these disciplines.
