The increase of flexibility, safety and efficiency in processes of production, transport and handling are the main tasks of the Institute of Transport and Automation Technology (ITA). Due to the continuous increase in the requirements for transport and automation processes, the need for holistic solution approaches is growing. These approaches range from decision algorithms and circuit design to applications in intralogistics and manufacturing. Head of the institute is Professor Ludger Overmeyer.
We are pleased to announce that our colleague Björn Volkmann successfully participated in the combined SDF and MFI Conference 2023, which took place from November 27-29, 2023 in Bonn, Germany. The conference was an excellent opportunity to learn and exchange about the latest developments and challenges in the fields of sensor technology, data fusion, multi-sensor technology and integration. Our team presented a paper on the topic of sensor fusion, which was very well received by the conference participants and led to interesting discussions and suggestions. We would like to thank the conference organizers for the excellent planning and execution. We learned a lot and made many valuable contacts. We are already looking forward to the next SDF MFI conference in 2025.
